Algebra is complex. In
Algebra we begin to work with symbols and other abstract concepts
as well as doing arithmetic. As you develop your ability to work
with these symbols, Algebra will not seem so complex, and be less
confusing.
Be patient with yourself -- but do the work. Learning Algebra is
like learning another language: it takes time. Give yourself time
and lots of practice!

To be successful at Algebra,
you must be involved in your learning!
A good math student:
Asks questions
-- be specific!
Gives reasons
--explain your thinking
Is resourceful
-- talk to your classmates, ask for help.
