Beginning Guitar (Beginning Band)
Beginning/Intermediate Band focuses primarily on guitar, electric bass and percussion. Students play music from a variety of cultures and styles as soloists and in ensembles. This class often performs on the Holiday Concert and the Spring Concerto Concert. Students who successfully learn music reading and who demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a large ensemble can play guitar in Jazz Band II in their second year, or take up a wind ensemble instrument (flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone etc.) and join the advanced band.
